I believe that a good leader should be organized, innovative, and willing to collaborate. Without these qualities, it can be extremely difficult to lead a group of people and coordinate with those around you. Although it may seem trivial to some, a good leader should be innovative because change is needed in any aspect of life. In order for a team to succeed, organization and willingness to collaborate are highly important because without a good structure, there will be many conflicts and issues within leadership.

Why do you want to be a HOSA State Officer?

I want to be a HOSA State Officer because I believe that I can bring my values and leadership skills as a HOSA Chapter Officer to this team. I am passionate about healthcare as well as helping my community in any way possible, and HOSA bridges this gap, which has led me to be fully committed to this organization. Being a HOSA State Officer will allow me to broaden my impact on my community and engage with different groups of people. My interest in women’s health has permitted me to lead a club and organization regarding this topic, and this experience has driven me to strive to increase my impact on society and cooperate with people who have the same interests and goals. HOSA has not only strengthened my interest in healthcare, but it has introduced me to different aspects within this career path, and I hope to be able to do the same for other members.
