“Whenever the art of medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity” - Hippocrates

Tiana Prakesh’s entry into HOSA was a leap of faith. Running for state office as a first year member, she initially grappled with the doubt of finding her place in a competitive field. However, her experience at the State Leadership Conference served as a powerful affirmation: when you choose to knock, doors will open.

This journey taught Tiana that medicine is not just a profession, but a lifelong pursuit of impact. As State Parliamentarian, she is eager to share this wisdom with members, showing them that their unique voices and backgrounds are their greatest assets in the world of healthcare.

Motivated by the resilience of the younger generation, Tiana aspires to become a pediatrician. She is driven by a desire to "show up" for families during their most vulnerable moments, ensuring that every child’s medical experience is defined by comfort rather than fear. Her dedication is already evident in her pursuit of Medical Assisting certifications and her participation in Model UN, where she sharpens the parliamentary skills she uses to represent the members of Arkansas HOSA.

Tiana’s leadership style is built on a foundation of kindness and a desire to leave a lasting legacy. She believes that the best leaders are those who lead with compassion and utilize every opportunity to empower others. This disciplined approach is also reflected in her love for the arts; she has practiced Kathak, a form of Indian classical dance, since age six and now enjoys teaching it to others. Whether leading a workshop or teaching Boy and Girl Scouts, Tiana is committed to a term defined by service, growth, and the courage to try new things even when they are daunting.
