Fall Leadership Keynote Speaker

Richard Robinson, BS, RDH

Founder & Executive Director, MY WHY

Richard Robinson, BS, RDH, is a registered dental hygienist, community health advocate, and Founder and Executive Director of MY WHY, a nonprofit organization committed to eliminating oral health disparities through education, prevention, and access to care in underserved communities.

Growing up with an undiagnosed learning disability, ADHD, and severe test anxiety, Richard understands firsthand that a person's circumstances should never define their potential. Diagnosed at the age of 36, his journey became the foundation for a lifelong commitment to empowering others through education, mentorship, and service. His story reflects resilience, demonstrating how personal challenges can become a catalyst for creating opportunities for others.

As only the second African American male to graduate from his dental hygiene program, Richard has built a career focused on advocacy, representation, and community impact. Through MY WHY, he leads initiatives that provide oral health education, preventive dental services, hygiene products, and community outreach for children and families facing barriers to care. His work reaches schools, community organizations, and underserved neighborhoods with the belief that oral health has no ZIP code.

Richard is a sought after speaker who inspires students, healthcare professionals, and community leaders by sharing his personal journey and encouraging others to discover purpose through service. Whether speaking in a classroom, a community center, or on a national stage, he demonstrates that perseverance, education, and compassion have the power to transform lives.

His vision is to create healthier communities by making education, prevention, and opportunity accessible to everyone, one smile at a time.
