Why do you want to be a HOSA State Officer?

"When this question was asked to me the first time I ran, I answered that I wanted to become a HOSA state officer for the experience. At the time, I viewed it as an opportunity to grow, learn, and challenge myself in new ways. Now, after truly experiencing what it means to serve as an officer, my answer has become even simpler: the people. The people I've met through HOSA have completely transformed my understanding of what it means to be passionate, ambitious, and hardworking. They've shown me that leadership isn't just about setting goals or achieving milestones; it's about building genuine connections, inspiring others, and learning from diverse perspectives. The friendships I've formed and the bonds I've built have given me a deeper sense of belonging and a clearer sense of purpose. I want to be a state officer because HOSA has provided me with a space to grow, not just as a leader, but as an individual. The relationships I've cultivated have revealed the power of a shared mission, where people come together, driven by a collective vision for growth and impact. I want to be at the forefront of nurturing that environment, helping others discover the same sense of community and purpose that has been so pivotal in my own journey. HOSA has poured so much into me, and now I want to pour back into Arkansas HOSA. I want to learn even more from the incredible members and leaders who make this organization so special, and in turn, use those lessons to support, uplift, and inspire. For me, being a state officer is about more than just serving in a leadership role. It's about giving back to the people and the organization that have shaped who I am today. It's about continuing to grow alongside a community that I'm deeply passionate about and helping others realize their potential, just as HOSA has helped me realize mine."
